Parent Guidelines
These guidelines help us run each mock exam smoothly and ensure a calm experience for all children.
Before the Session
- Please arrive on time so your child can settle comfortably.
- Make sure your child brings the required stationery (pencils, eraser, sharpener, water bottle).
- Avoid discussing scores or expectations on the way — a relaxed mindset helps children perform better.
- If your child has any allergies (including nut allergies), please inform us in advance.
- When sending snacks, kindly avoid nuts or nut-based items.
- If your child has any special requirements, please let us know beforehand so we can support them appropriately.
Drop Off Instructions
- Children must be dropped off at least 15 minutes before the session starts.
- Late arrivals can disturb the exam environment, so please plan your travel accordingly.
- Parents are not allowed inside the exam room.
During the Session
- Please remain reachable by phone in case we need to contact you.
- Please do not wait near the exam hall doors, as it may distract children.
- The exam will run without interruptions once started.
Pick Up Instructions
- Please arrive on time for pick up.
- Children will be released only to a parent or authorised adult.
- Delayed pick ups affect the next session and venue timings, so we appreciate punctuality.
After the Session
- Results and feedback will be shared as per our standard process.
- Please encourage your child positively, regardless of performance.
- Use the feedback to guide home practice rather than comparing scores with others.
General Expectations
- Respect the exam environment and follow instructions from the Mindworks team.
- Do not request copies of question papers, as they are not shared.
- Keep your child's performance report private and for personal use only.
Student Guidelines
These guidelines help every child have a calm, fair and focused mock exam experience.
Before the Exam
- Listen carefully to the instructions given by the Mindworks team.
- Keep your stationery ready (pencils, eraser, sharpener).
- Stay relaxed — this is only practice to help you improve.
During the Exam
- Do not talk to other students once the exam begins.
- Do not look at or touch anyone else's paper.
- Watches, smart watches, calculators or electronic devices are not allowed.
- Follow the instructions for each section carefully.
- If you need help with instructions, raise your hand and wait quietly until the examiner reaches you.
- Work steadily and stay focused on your own paper.
- If you feel nervous, take a deep breath and continue — this is normal.
Behaviour & Discipline
- Be respectful to everyone in the room.
- No fighting, pushing or disturbing others.
- Keep your belongings safely with you.
- Use the toilet responsibly and keep it clean.
- Move calmly when entering and leaving the exam hall.
Answering the Questions
- Try your best to complete every question.
- If you run out of time, never leave a question blank — choose an answer instead of skipping.
- Check your work if you finish early.
After the Exam
- Stay seated until you are asked to leave.
- Hand in all papers and materials.
- Collect your belongings before leaving the hall.
